Solicitor Apprentice

Jag initially joined Loch in 2022 as an Administrative Assistant after completing sixth form, before progressing to a Paralegal role. He began his Solicitor Apprenticeship with us in 2023 and has since been recognised as a Rising Star at the Department for Work and Pensions’ National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards.

Jag spends one day each week completing his LLB (Hons) in Law and Legal Practice at BPP University while supporting clients across our Employment, Dispute Resolution, and Corporate/Commercial teams. In particular, he has experience in supporting clients with a range of complex claims, from unfair dismissal, discrimination, and whistleblowing claims in the Employment Tribunal, to claims for breaches of contract, fiduciary duties, post-employment restrictions, and injunctions in the County Court and High Court. Helping resolve disputes at all stages, Jag has experience working on complex investigations and attending mediations, together with claims involving successful strike out applications and cost awards.

Clients value Jag for bringing a calm, balanced approach to situations that can be sensitive and challenging, and his ability to explain things clearly, avoid unnecessary jargon, and help move things forward in a practical, commercially aware way. He is on track to qualify as a Solicitor in 2030.

Outside of work, Jag enjoys travelling, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, and spending time with family and friends. He also advocates for apprenticeships and is regularly invited to contribute to local and national radio and wider media coverage promoting apprenticeships as credible and meaningful career pathways.
